Koblenz [Germany]

Koblenz is a German city situated on both banks of the Rhine where it is joined by the Moselle. Koblenz lies in the Rhineland and is the third-largest city in Rhineland-Palatinate. Koblenz was established as a Roman military post by Drusus around 8 B.C.

The 19th century Ehrenbreitstein Fortress sits at a height of 118 meters (387 feet) on the bank of the River Rhine. Koblenz Seilbahn (cable car) is a great way of enjoying the panorama over the Rhine and Mosel Rivers from the base station near the Deutsches Eck to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. This state-of-the-art cable car is 890 meters (2,920 feet) long and traverses over the river at an altitude of 112 meters (367 feet).
