San Diego (Spanish "Saint Didacus") is a city in the state of California on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, approximately 120 miles south of Los Angeles and immediately adjacent to the border with Mexico. San Diego is known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Immense Balboa Park is the site of the renowned San Diego Zoo. A deep harbour is home to a large active naval fleet.
